Little Brown Bat Animal Guide Hex Sign (Hand Painted)

The Little Brown Bat, while a common sight in the Ohio River Valley, was evaluated as an endangered species in 2018. Due to the recentness of this evaluation, conservation efforts are still being organized. Bats are a guide through sudden and unexpected change, helping you find your way through dark places. As nocturnal creatures, bats are associated with the liminal and with endings. When major changes come in life, do not expect those things you leave behind to return.

Each piece in the Spooky Season Series includes a glow-in-the-dark moon. This piece features a large full moon, to bring clarity and manifestation, while a Tower in the background further represents change.

This sign is painted on a 1/4 inch thick plaque. Unless requested, it will not feature any hanging holes. A plate hanger is recommended for display.

Painted by hand in acrylic on birch and sealed in several coats of polyurethane. Each sign is ritually cleansed, consecrated, and smoked over an appropriate incense blend, before shipping  As each item is hand-painted, small variations may occur.
