Bernie’s Mittens
Chairman Bernie Sanders, keeping warm at the inauguration, has taken the internet by storm. Fortunately, he’s a good natured guy, and he embraced the craziness by adding a sweatshirt with the image to his campaign store, all proceeds going to charity. (It sold out almost immediately.)
I had an inspiration when I noticed the pattern of his mittens resembled the patterns often found in traditional hex signs, and saw an opportunity for an activism hex sign and to take a page out of Bernie’s book.
I created this hex sign to mimic the coloring and texture of Sanders’ mittens while offering a sentiment I know he’d applaud. Buttons are available now on Zazzle, or you can order a hand-painted version of this sign in the shop!
